Sweet & Sour Shishito Peppers

(Vegan, Gluten-Free, Soy Free)

1 package of shishito peppers (about 4 cups)

Sweet & Sour Sauce

3 tbsps of coconut aminos

1 1/2 tbsps of maple syrup

1/2 tsp of garlic powder

1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes

I love to make the shishito peppers in my air-fryer for oil-free cooking, but you can also cook these on high heat in a skillet with a bit of oil.

In the air fryer, cook at 380F for 10 mins, occasionally stirring them up a bit for even cooking.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the ingredients for the sweet & sour sauce.

Add the blistered shishito peppers to a mixing bowl, toss in the sauce, and mix it all together. Marinate the peppers in the sauce for about 5 - 10 mins. Enjoy!
